This document provides information about how to turn off find my iPhone and erase your personal data using the iCloud website, even if you can’t access your iPhone because it’s damaged. This is important because Apple can’t repair, replace or service your phone if find my iPhone is turned on, and for your own protection you must not send your device without removing personal data first.
Sign in to iCloud
Your Apple ID and password are usually the same as the ones you use for iTunes.
Delete the phone from iCloud
- Turn off the device you want to remove. Remove the SIM card to ensure that it cannot connect to the mobile network again.
- Sign in to icloud.com/#find on a computer with your Apple ID.
- Click Find My iPhone.
- Click All Devices, select the offline device, select erase iPhone, select Erase again, then click Remove from Account or click the Delete button next to the device.
- If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone.
Turning off find my iphone if you can still access the phone
Click Settings – Scroll down to iCloud

Slide the Find my iPhone switch
Enter your password and click “Turn Off”
Then click Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all contents and settings and follow the prompts to clean all data from your device.
